‘Appraisal Afternoon’ Benefit Sponsored by Two Local Retirement Residences and Sloans & Kenyon Appraisers to Raise Money for Iona Senior Services

All proceeds from the event will benefit the northwest DC-based IONA Senior Services, a non-profit that serves the same population as The Georgetown and Chevy Chase House, and meets the same goal to enable older adults to live with dignity and independence.
The events will take place on Wednesday, September 22, 12 NOON to 2 PM at The Georgetown, 2512 Q Street, N.W., Washington 20007; and on Wednesday, September 29, 12 NOON to 2 PM at Chevy Chase House, 5420 Connecticut Ave., N.W., Washington 20015.
Sloans & Kenyon, headquartered in Bethesda, MD, with a new retail consignment shop, The P Street Consignment Shop, located at 2622 P Street, NW, in Georgetown (202.338.8714; theconsignmentshop@ verizon.net), will provide Appraisal Afternoon participants a verbal appraisal of items - up to five per sitting - letting each know whether they are holding something fit for a garage sale or a rare specimen which may be worth thousands. A tax-deductible $10 donation per sitting is requested.
