Witnesses, Jurors, Senior Citizens and Attorneys with Hearing and Visual Disibilities Accomodated by LifeLinks' LLC Courtroom Technology at 60 Centre Street (Foley Square) Courthouse of N.Y. State Supreme Court.

Hackensack, New Jersey, November 11, 2003. LifeLinks, LLC, a Delaware Company with offices in New York City and Hackensack, NJ, has completed a successful trial of its video-interpreting system in the 60 Centre Street(Foley Square) courthouse of New York State Supreme Court. This offers the capability of providing, instantly, wirelessly and cost-effectively, an interpreter in different languages, including sign language, over a real-time video connection over a wireless network, such that the interpreter can see the witness and vice versa. In addition, the judge, attorneys and jury can view the interaction, if they wish. Sign language, Braille and immediate closed captioning with enlarged lettering for jurors, witnesses, senior citizens and attorneys with disabilities are all standard.

The LifeLinks' system is being considered for inclusion in the William and Mary College "Courtroom 21" project which certifies "state of the art legal" technologies.
